Far Harbor NPC Bug
I've encountered a bug while on the quest 'Living on the Edge'. The next part of my quest involves speaking with Teddy Wright, but he only repeats "You are a curious specimen." and will not say anything else. No matter how many times I speak with him or try to reload the game, I have the same outcome. I moved to a different area, waited 24 hours, and went back to see if it made a difference but nothing has changed. I can't advance in the quest unless I can speak with him. Is there any command to reset the NPC or quest?

I had the same problem but it seemed to fix its self after I finished the main quest line in far harbor.

Solution.

In game do this.
hit ~ (tilda) on your keay board, copy this - setstage DLC03FarHarborM02 700 - past there (ctrl+v), hit ~ again.

no need..... just sniped NPC so that he started to move and after a minute he went back where I should have been

nothing worked for me i tried to do both and it either just ended the quest or changed nothing

I think I found the solution. Type "setstage DLC03FarHarborM01 100" into console. This command will help you to skip bugged introduction into new quest and Teddy will be talking with you again

Thanks! I posted this glitch two years ago and someone finally found a fix!

Much thanks for the solution. Got so frustrated I quicksaved, shot teddy a few hundred times to vent, quickloaded lol. Sad that it's 2021 and it's still an issue, but it IS Bethesda we're talking about.

Many of these bugs have been fixed in the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch and are well documented on the wiki.

There is no need to ♥♥♥♥♥ about Bethesda. All games have bugs. You were only not as well informed as you could have been. That is on you.
