fallout 4 unlimited settlement size console command
No longer do you need mods to have unlimited settlement size! Someone has discovered a way to have an unlimited settlement size in just 2 simple console commands. Credit to TheCoetzee for telling me this. Now enough chit chat, this is how you do it:

First walk to your workshop inside your settlement. Then open your console and select the workshop by clicking on it.

Then you need to insert the following command and press enter:
Setav 349 -1

And the same for the following command :
Setav 34b -1

Et voila. Good luck and have fun : )

Just be careful you don't overdo it and create a situation where your comp can't handle everything you build and your game stutters with save bloat until it eventually crashes.

already had a mod that works. no need to use a console command.

Thanks, much easier than the mod :)
I always use settlements expanded mod, where it basically provides a batch file with all the necessary commands to expand the limit. I need to just click on a workshop and type "bat expandsettlement".

I don't use a negative number. I use setav 3675555555.00 in both cases. I'm sure it's basically the same but I always feel that it's dangerous to go negative.

I should point out when I tried this in the vault tec DLC location it did strange things instead of expanding the limit possibly because it has other workshop areas linked together.

My advice is before you try it run the getav command to see what the variable currently is so you can change back if you need to.

Id suggest to not over do it. Or else you'll get a settlement you can't even load
