I don't think your level matters for Far Harbor, I've not played it so I can't be sure, but that's what I've heard.

You just have to kill Kellogg then you can start the dlc.

I thought it was completing Getting A Clue not Reunions, but hell what do I know

i heard about doing a quest for valentine

Well I just said that because getting a clue kind of forces you to track Kellogg and kill him.

Considering afther you had your manhunt with nick i suppose you might be near level 20? I guess level 20 is the recommended mininum..unless you rush like crazy.

You can be lvl 3 an complete "Getting a clue". An when it comes to Kellogg, theres no need to kill him right then an there. Follow Dogmeat to his hideout, get the map location an prance off to do whatever else ya want. Far Harbor for instance.(I sound like a bouchedag after typin all this.)

From what I understand, Far Harbor is pretty brutal. I'm not sure how aggressive any scaling is for the enemies, but I think Bethesda designed this intending people to take their lvl50+ Characters into it.

The only physical gate though, is the quest "Getting a Clue" which ends once you discover Fort Hagen.

If you're worried about level, put the difficulty on Cry Baby and one shot everything
