Is it possible to reset a character's AI?

Danse is completely brain dead in my game. I cannot interact with him at all and had to use console command to get through all quests where he is involved. I really would rather give up the BoS questline entirely than to do this over and over, so I'm wondering if there is a way to reset Danse completely?

open console, click on danse type (disable) minus () hit enter then type (enable) minus()
