SURVIVAL TIP: How to move big amount of items between settlements.
I am sure lots of people already know this, though i post it anyway for anyone who does not know how to move items between settlements on survival as fast travel is disabled.

Lets say you need to move lots of items from sanctuary to the castle, its a long way to walk with fast travel disabled.
First make sure you got free space for more settlers in the castle.
Go to the sanctuary, pick a settler give him/her an outfit you can remember.
Trade items with the chosen settler and give him everything you need to move to the castle, im sure they got a limit on how much they can carry but they can infact carry more then you can.
After that go into build mode and press R over the settler and send him to the castle.

Next time you go to the castle, find the settler (or use the bell) and just trade with him/her.

Thats a really good tip, and as obvious as it might be, I would never have thought of it.

Rather using settlement, its better using your companion (not dog meat though).
1. Make sure item you want your companion to take more then 5 (10 or more better)
2. Trade until your companion can not carry any more.
3. Drop the rest whatever items you want to move in the ground (remember >10 are better)
4. Ask your companion to take the items
5. Bring your companion along with you and trade normally when reach destination.

So your companion can carry an unlimited amount this way?

Yes, except for dog meat.
Even when you go to your destination, encounter hostile and see a lot of weapon, do the same thing. Ask your companion to take them all :3

This is a alternate way of doing it, i just dont use companions and i find it tedious to just drop stuff and then make my companion pick it up. I just found the settlers can carry more then enught for my needs and i needed to fill my castle with more settlers anyway.

ok nice,I look forward to using this.

both would work together. I intend to abuse both.

I abuse my companion to bring a tons of ammo, food and medical item:steamhappy:

I allways go it alone because i like stealth, but when im not on a quest I'll be sure to take one of my many pack mules with me now. Let the hoarding commence.

Nice idea! I'll remember that. Slight downside, though... what if the NPC gets killed on the way, then you lose everything?

Or just use supply lines?

A risk I'm willing to take.

Well yes, but I've just started a survival game and haven't got that far so this will do nicely.
