Curie
Why does she want to be human exactly? I know she says she can help more people, but can she really?

I mean, her intelligence actually goes DOWN when she gets turned into a synth, by quite a lot! Her strength goes up by one point though, but is that really enough? I'd rather be a Miss Nanny than a Synth anyday TBH, especially in Diamond City.

As a Miss Nanny, she says she cannot find or create the feeling of inspiration. She sorta sees that as an obstacle, as she cannot pursue her dream of furthering science. She becomes a Synth because they are the closest things to humans that she can become. As a Synth she can feel inspiration as well as other emotions, allowing her to continue in her quest of furthering science.
Eh, inspiration IMO is a double-edged sword. It can be nice if you can reach it, but after a while it slowly drains out of you.

The real question is, why doesn't she have inspiration in her robot body? Since she recognizes the need for inspiration and can understand and identify what inspiration is, why doesn't she just give herself a software update that makes her want to improve stimpacks? And how hard is it to decide that you want to improve a stimpack? Do you really need a synth body to know that the world can be improved? Bethesda did a really bad job explaining why Curie can't have inspiration in her robot body. In fact they spent no time explaining it because she obviously could have just as much inspiration in her robot body as a synth body.

Plus why would a humanoid body even give her new emotions anyway? She didn't start off with them, so she shouldn't be able to have them as a Synth either.

Codsworth can feel remorse, regret, concern, grief, joy, and, well, probably every other human feeling, yet Curie can't?
Never understood that.

Agreed -- there's also the example of Miss Edna in DC -- she can apparently experience TRUE LOVE as a robot, without the need to become more human-like in the form of a synth...

You can change her back with Automatron DLC if it bothers you.

Games take a bit of imagination.

Curie, sans clothing, is a Hell of a lot cuter than Curie with 6 arms.

What? You can? I gave her crazy mods, then she decides to ditch her cool new body and all the mods left when she transferred bodies! I ended up loading an earlier save and ditching Curie somewhere.

In game: She wants to better be able to do her job of researching all of existence
Reality: She wants the D

But you can't hit on Synths in Fallout 4, because you're related to all of them!

If we compare pure hardware, her old body was made ~200 years ago, and new one 20-30 (or less). The upgrade is real.
