Nora
I was just thinking since Nora was shot in the right shoulder she could manage to survive. if you get shot in real life you have 78% chance to survive a blow. She was then immediately frozen again. The terminal for her cyropod says unknown. it might be possible that the cryopod doesnt know if she dead or not becuase she could still be in the dieing state. I would say the cryopod test was a success since the sole survival surivived the cryolation. So nora should as well. if so what could this mean for future DLC.

Play as nora too?
Swap between characters?
New story, oo maybe we revisite the vualt and she gone!
just some thought but i think it would be cool!

In fallout everyone can die from any kind of projectile no matter where it hit. I really doubt bethesda would actually try use the frozen spouse in a dlc of some kind. If anything maybe the institute made a synth based upon the dead spouse and that could be an enemy in a dlc (just say it escaped the institute and the ending wont interfere with that possibility) it would also allow you to complete it and have your main character still angry that the human spouse was still dead so no dialog changes if it occured before you contact the institute in the main story after dlc is done.

Do not get me started on the glaring holes of this story..

Like any self respecting scientist would allow 2 life forms into a stasis tube at the same time, under experimental conditions. There was no indication they anticipated what to do with babies. The science was not calibrated to harbor 2 life forms per tube

and yes the shot would noo have been immediately fatal, and yes the stasis tube should have preserved her to wait for more effective medical attention, of which the entire place was full of the materials for that. if not the personel or immediate skills.

Then they oughta have paid to develop the code to have put a hole in it.

Maybe but that was certainly a head shot.

Ah yes the classic "lets apply real world science to an alternate timeline in a game arguement"

Man have you seen those ships in Battlefleet?
Unrealistic as hell, they don't have the strength to be hit as many times as they do.

How does one calibrate "science"?

You just watch, Bethesda is gonna make a DLC where someone sneaks into Vault 111 while your gone, grab a DNA sample of your spouse, use it to create a Synth Duplicate of him/her and use him/her against yooooou XD

Even if somehow she survived, you still open the pod and take the ring. Without any medical attention she would have bled out or something.
Baschiro May 4, 2016 @ 1:48pm
Not everyone took the ring =p
(I mean, probably everyone did, but someone might not have =p)

You can open Nate's pod? I never tried or knew this. Also. It's vaultec, I don't think they have any self respecting anything.
And by gosh I hope not I made the craziest face for the husband in one of my playthroughs, I don't want to fight that thing.

You can't open it directly, you need to use the leaver to the right of the pod

Currently the wedding ring item is a bit of a red herring. You can't wear 2 and it seems to have no value aside from one or two voicelines from companions when you wear it.
It's main use is being sold or kept for sentimental value.

People sell it?
