Talk to Hancock "as the Shroud."
People has had problems with the dialogue options available when confronting him. Mine is a bit different. There should be an option to "speak as Shroud"
but the only options available are for me to take him as a companion or not.
If I say yes he then tells the community that he is leaving Goodneighbor.
The quest does not proceed from here. All it says is "talk to Hancock"

So talk to him ! When he's your companion, choose the "Talk" option, and dialogue should proceed.

I will try that but I know of someone who did this and it did not work for them.
Fingers crossed!

Are you wearing the costume?

First time no, loaded a save and wore the costume. No machine gun though.

It's not working for me on my current playthrough either. Done it on a few previous playthroughs fine, I ended up giving in this time though, pretty much tried everything.

If he's your companion and it doesn't work the solution is probably simple ... dismiss him press tab where to send him ( he will go back to goodneghbour) wait a bit till he arrives and it should work

Yeah, I tried all of that.

I'm not to worried now tbh, I've done the quest before. I just wondered if it was a new bug that arrived with 1.5 for some reason.

machine gun doesn't matter, all ya need is the costume to speak as shroud

I don't think that dialogue option will work if you've unlocked him as a companion. You would have to do the Silver Shroud quest before doing the Bobbi No-Nose quest.

OK. I did the Bobbi No nose quest ages ago. So that could be the problem?

So no more continuation of this quest line. As I have completed all main quests are there any further quests available in the game?

That may be the problem. When he gave me the Pickman quest, I continued playing and forgot about it. Much later I ended up in the Pickman Gallery and did everything there is to do there. I then went to Hancock to hand in the quest but he would not talk about it anymore. I suppose it is the odd chem or two he takes regularly.

I went back to Hancock and took him as a companion. This has caused the quests to resume, finally having to save Kent. But I never had the option to speak in the Shroud's voice.
