Supply Line Question
Sorry, I know I've been asking a lot of questions here as of late, but, you know, the game came with NO FRIGGIN MANUAL, and you guys have been helpful.... so.... here I am again. lol

I set up supply lines between my settlements early, and now that I've got way more of them, they are inefficient as hell. Yeah, I know it doesn't make one iota of a difference in game, but, I'm anal about lots of things. I want to tell all of them sto STOP what they're doing, then start again and have each settlement just have one suppy line to the closest settlement to it, and then go from there. Instead, I've got, as an example, one line running from the east side of the map (Sanctuary Hills) to almost the west side (Nordhagen Beach) and now there are plenty of settlements in between.

But when I highlight Codsworth (he's the one with that supply line) I can't for the life of me see an option to tell him to STOP. I see an option to MOVE him to another settlement, but no way to just tell him to stop.

Is there a way, short of moving him to another settlement?

First of all, Yes there is a manual inside the game. Look in the Help menu.

And you need to either send Codsworth to another settlement, or command him to do something else, or have him join you on your journey, to get him off the supply route.

Just assign him to do literally anything else. That includes making him a companion. Then he will no longer be assigned to the supply line.

You can assign Codsworth to run a supply line?! Thanks. Didn't know that.

Any companion. If you don't have a companion following you and send them to a settlement, they act as a settler until you recruit them again. This means you can have them be guards, pick crops, assign them to stores, or have them run supply lines.

You can assign all except Dogmeat to a supply line, including the army of Automatrons you've been building...

The Help menu is gone from my game.

Well, there was literally nothing else to assign a couple of them to, but I just made a temporary guard shack, assigned them to that, then scrapped the guard shack.

Thank you very much for the help. I was thinking of assigning them to something else myself, but as i said, there was literally nothing to assign a couple of them to.... unless you can "double up" on food assignments???? I didn't try that. But all of the planted food was already assigned settlers to work it, will it let you assing more even though it's not needed???? Well, moot point now, as I fixed it.

Much better looking supply lines now. As I said, i know it makes absolutely ZERO difference in game, but.... I'm anal... what can I say? Thanks again.
