This is what I was trying to tell people in another post, but Steam users are complete trash when it comes to critical thinking.
We're all having issues with this, we need a work around. I did update my Nexus Mods Manager, updated my mods, updated the game, varified the files; doesn't matter, the mods are disabled until you log in and activate every single one manually.
DO NOT click Mods on the game menu.
It is not necessary.
Use Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) to manage your mods.
Adjust 'load order' within NMM, as we always have before.
The Plugin load order specifically.
The plugins.txt is in a hidden directory.
Allow hidden files/folder to display (see your Control Panel).
The plugins.txt inherits the rules by default of the higher level directories, so it will revert to read only, unless you adjust the rules of the higher level directories.
However, if you use NMM you don't really have to be concerned with it, since NMM manages the plugins.txt for you.
You must be joking. Right? You're joking?
