Still getting "Something went wrong. Please try again" on Bethesda.net

So, it's been several days now and many of us still cannot even create a Bethesda.net account, effectively blocking us from using the new in-game Mod options.

Thankfully mods do still work in the old way, bar a few tweaks, so I'm playing just fine. It's just frustrating to have their website repeatedly crap out when clicking the "create" button after entering my credentials.

Is there any official response to this yet? I've done the usual clearing out of browser cache and the like, so it does not appear to be an issue my end. When entering my credentials they are all verified as green, so I've not made a mistake.

Note: I did have an account on the Old Bethesda forums, before the move to the new location. However, there was no automatic account migration so I'm affectively re-creating my original account on the new forums.

Not a huge issue for me, but I was originally testing this during the beta and not being able to report an error on the official forums because that's what the bug stops you doing is a little daft.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone had this issue and eventually managed to create an account.

I ended up just trying a different username. Really stupid that they don't have a specific error message to tell you someone took your name.

Thanks for the replies. I'd be interested in what worked for you - how did you get your account functioning after the process crapped out. That said, I don't feel I'm missed out on anything not having the account. Plus I've not played FO4 for a while - though I did fire it up briefly yesterday as I noticed it'd update and I want to make sure it still ran ok. It did.

I resent the verification link to my email, followed the same steps. I think the verification link was faulty so having a new one sent solved the issue for me.

I see. I suspect I've left it too long now though, these things must have some sort of expiry date so accounts that aren't verified get deleted.

Now I have the same problem. Its octrobre 2018. Gamecompanys have that create-an-account thing under controll since about 20 years. Not so Berthesda.
As several threads say I assume the username is already in use.
Well the double idiotic thing is that the form to be filedl out is completely deleted when the error message appears.
So now a have to reenter several fields again and again until the username is coincidentally not already in use?
Not serious berthesda. Quake Champions was for free. Fall Out 76 would cost money.
But not for me ;-)
Will be eventually be back when you have learned to implement a account-creation-automatic that works.

I never did, but then I gave up trying. I remember that things seemed to work, but then it failed at the final step. After that my account was sort of there, but broken. Trying other names etc. simply didn't work at the time - even rather obscure ones that nobody else could possibly have chosen - so I gave up and moved on.

I fully suspect that my partially set up account has long been deleted so someone may have nabbed my "Scoob" username in the two and a half years since the forum switch over. Really a shame there was no way to simply (from a user perspective) migrate over.

Nope. But solution for me is quite simple for me as Quake Champions is running without fully created account. No Bethesda Games for me - no honey, no money. problem solved.
