Still getting "Something went wrong. Please try again" on Bethesda.net
So, it's been several days now and many of us still cannot even create a Bethesda.net account, effectively blocking us from using the new in-game Mod options.

Thankfully mods do still work in the old way, bar a few tweaks, so I'm playing just fine. It's just frustrating to have their website repeatedly crap out when clicking the "create" button after entering my credentials.

Is there any official response to this yet? I've done the usual clearing out of browser cache and the like, so it does not appear to be an issue my end. When entering my credentials they are all verified as green, so I've not made a mistake.

Note: I did have an account on the Old Bethesda forums, before the move to the new location. However, there was no automatic account migration so I'm affectively re-creating my original account on the new forums.

Not a huge issue for me, but I was originally testing this during the beta and not being able to report an error on the official forums because that's what the bug stops you doing is a little daft.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone had this issue and eventually managed to create an account.

Just try again with different username, even if the site say username is available. I do that few time and it just works.

Are any of you using an ENB, Reshade, or SweetFX on your game?

I couldn't log in until I removed mine

Might just try that. It'd be a bit of a pain if someone's nabbed my forum name from the old forums though.

I use ENB and Reshade I can log-in without a problem.

This topic isn't about logging in, it's about being able to create a Bethesda.net account in the first place, that's what many of us are being prevented from doing, due to a website error.

Thankfully we can run the game and mod just fine without using the new "Mods" menu...for now.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm trying to create my Bethesda.net account for Quake Champions and it's giving me this same unhelpful error message.

Just think you're saving heaps on money.. Try Nexus its free and works.

Nope, it never worked so I gave up even trying over a year ago. Not like it was something of any use anyway, I get all my mods via the Nexus, same as I always have.

In my case, Your Mother's answer turned out to be correct; my username was in use. I can't believe the error message for such a commonplace event has remained this unhelpful since 2016! :steamfacepalm:

No. PC was, and is, just fine, it was a website issue & it didn't affect just me. Don't know what the cause was, but something broke during the initial registration process it seems, and I could not proceed.

Note: The registration process broke in such a way that Bethesda.net remembers me and my password as I created it, yet it cannot authenticate. All details are correct, I'm not that daft, but it was never fixed and there was no help to be had. I just tried again out of interest, and I still cannot access my account. The forgotten account/password process fails to send me an email too. I even try creating the account again, but - unlike my first attempt 15 months ago - it says my user name is in use. Suggesting once again that something broke with the registration process and my account is present, but broken.

Still, like I said, a Bethesda.net account is of no use to me, I simply wanted to migrate to the new community. Possibly I could have spent more time chasing some admin to get this sorted, but I had more important things to do with my time.
