Bethesda.net Manually Enabling Mods
Hey. with the recent 1.5 update out, and the new mod menu in game, I have found some problems. I know this isnt anything new, but i havent seen anybody adress the exact problem that I am having yet, unless im blind. I have noticed that everytime I enter the game, I have to go into the mod menu and manually enable to mods every single time that I enter the game. I have no idea if this is just a problem with my game specificially, or if its a standard for all games, but its annoying. I dont want to have to do this every single time that i open up the game, it wil get annoying quite soon. Does anybody have a fix for this?

My second problem ties in with the first one. If i have a modded save game, and I have to go into the bethesda.net mod manager in game everytime that i want to enable the mods, and my internet is down, does that mean i simply cannot play my game? As I said before, i need to go into the menu to enable my mods every single time, and if my internet is down for some reason, I would not be able to play my game at all unless i settle for not being able to use my mods. A fix one the first problem would probably help both of them.

If anyone has a solution to these problems, please tell me it! Or, if a forum post has already been made about this that i havent seen, please link me to it!

Thanks
-Bubbles

Yeah we have to enable mods 1 by 1 everytime we start the game, very annoying. Just let external programs like NMM handle it, they could even start by adding an enable all button for people who have like 50+ mods. Very annoying, I have a feeling paid mods are going to be a thing again soon with this new way of handling mods.

I have 50+ mods and NMM, and its not doing ♥♥♥♥ about it, lol. I really hope they add an enable all button. And that i would be able to play modded without internet, lol

That's what I mean, they should've let NMM handle that so it's much easier for people with heaps of mods.

1.5 broke my mods anyway, I can't load any custom weapons or anything.

I can load custom things, but a few mods are broken. DEF_UI for example

the first time i enter the game i have the same problem, couple with some other problem. after NMM update, reactivate all the mod via NMM and everything is fine since.
I have this issue too and I was just coming to the discussion tab to talk about it. As someone who has over 550 mods I find VERY annoying that we have to do this every damn time we open a game especially if you're like me and you like to tweak your character's body and outifts in CBBE then go and test them in game.

If they try to foot in paid mods again they will get roasted. Paid mods were proven to be cancerous.

if paid mod get to be a legit thing they better be DLC 20plus guns 5 k tex, FALSCAR quality elsways theyr not worth paying for, and if you baught a mod and then the auther was able to pull it !!..urgh that would be beyond the pale

i deleted the mods folder in the main game folder (x:\xxxxx\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 )
went into C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Fallout4 and added the astrix to the plugins.txt (*Dark Drifter.esp ,,, like this) , and every now and then i have to re-enable the mods in nmm in the plugins section . all you need do is hit the green check mark to re-enable them all and it works fine . i never use the bethesda.net login b.s.

I dont think you get the situation. lol

I enable mods via NMM just once. No problems since.
Sinkitsune Apr 30, 2016 @ 10:22pm
If you enable them by pressing the ENTER key they will stay enabled after you leave the game and enter it again.
pike Apr 30, 2016 @ 11:13pm
maybe your over thinking it ?
use nmm , the only time i have to do the disable/re-enable thing is if i remove a mod and then add one at the same time , it's a quick press ,all done at the end of the new mods install .
and like i said i only have to do it if i uninstall a mod at the same time as installing one .
i dont have a problem with having to re-enable mods every time i start the game .
i wouldnt bother with the bethesda.net mod thing at all , that's there for the consoles , and this is a terrible port so we on pc get the same crap too .
you never have to use that b.s. as in the mod menu

you need to make a account at bethesda.net , it's not the same as the old bethesda.com forum
