Nuetral Deathclaw playing Follow the leader?

I have seen alot of strange things but not this. One of my game saves has a deathclaw random encounter where the high level regular deathclaw is nuetral and is leading my character around. It would sit in a area and wait til i get close then bolt off ahead and sit down again several hundred yards away. I have experimented with it by coming up on the otherside of it to see if he is just running from me but the DC still runs in the same general direction. This is completely wierd and i wish my OBS could record FO4 because i am stuck with the DC dieing to a group of mechanist robots that i cant keep from going nuclear and catching the DC in the explosion.

Yeah. I have looked up friendly deathclaws and only found that bugged one at the sinkhole. This one i found when exiting the forgotten church in the glowing sea. It lead me to the ouskirts of boston where the group of mechanists robots keep killing it. I have tested it and it seems the thing is following a path not just random direction.

I would try to run ahead and kill the robots, or just kill them with the console. Just to find out where this thing is taking you.

I have tried killing the robots and each time i start the fight the deathclaw runs up and helps. The tankbot(Sentrybot thing) goes nuclear and kills the DC. I am doing this in survival mode and dont have use of console. I am trying as hard as i can to keep him alive to where i am trying to hack the robots using that scoped in hack method.

Thanks. I got the picture from Gundam IGLOO 2 Gravity Front, if i remeber the name correctly. It is the White Orge, a MS-06J Zaku II piloted by Elmer Snell. Finally got the deathclaw to survive the fight and i found out where it takes me. It takes me to a deathclaw nest near parson creamary. At the location was dead gunners bodies and brahmin. When i approached the nest and activated it, a quest popped up named Devils Due. When the quest popped up the deathclaw was gone and i had a marker up for a museum of witchcraft. I think the DC is to spawn if you didnt do the quest and it helps with it. But it was fun as hell to get to this point. I am going to go start this quest. Wish me luck.

......I am afriad yes is the answer, It sucked but i thought it was too wierd to pass up. I have got sick and shot the DC a few times and re loaded save but the quest it help me start was.....fun in a scripted spooky way. And it wasnt my choice i think i had to follow it from glowing sea to the nest. I believe it was a random encounter spawn that just happened while i was in the glowing sea, If it spawns for you/others, pray it spawns closer.

It is my new quest to go find this deathclaw and try to avoid the other hundred or so that try to eat me.

I had another similar encounter with a mercenary holding a laser pistol near coastal cottage. He was determined to follow the road up by the the slog. I couldnt keep him alive tho. The gunners there would nuke me from ridiculous range.

I dont know if you could find the DC if you completed the quest. It seemed to spawn because i didnt even start the quest.
