Anyone else take more than one playthrough to even notice the cave under the red rocket?

3rd playthrough I just happened to be approaching it from the south when I saw it. I'd never walked that direction from there as I followed the road into concord. Does make me wonder how many little things we miss especially with fast travel.

If you read the terminal in the red rocket office it tells you about the cave. So I found it on my first playthrough

yep first play through read every thing investigated everything including the sewer in Concord and all the exit locations. Read every note I found on a settler and searched for all the mentioned loot had no mods on the first several play throughs so only way to get caps was to surch and sell every thing I did not need or want, I have a lot of ours playing.

Found it on my second playthrough thanks to the terminal. Probably wasn't really paying attention to what is was reading the first time around.

Not in this case, but there were a few places I ended up discovering (for the first time) hundreds of hours into the game, and I'm someone who checks every corner and never fast travels.

found the cave in first playthrough. the root cellar in sanctuary however, i just discovered in my second one.

After countless hours on my 24 day old save profile, after 817 levels, I ran into the Preston Garvey impersonator

In my first six playthroughs I never met Gene. This time I have met him three times and bought three dogs from him. One black, one dark brown, one light brown with a bandana. They are all happy including Dogmeat in four doghouses in a row in Sanctuary.

Its all these little things that make F4 great. Reading stuff in F4 is really, really helpful if you want to find a lot interesting stories and locations

how bad I am... after posting this I went into the game.. walked round the back of the boston checkpoint and.... oh.. power armor*. I played through this like 4 times now and never looked behind the building! :-/

And... what root cellar? Gonna have to go back and look for that (490hrs in and never saw it)

*Admittedly throw a rock in boston and you seem to hit a spare suit

As you get there, there's a terminal telling you that there's a cave......
Doesn't tell where exactly... but just looking around... pretty easy
