Endless Beeping glitch

I started up a new game to try out the survival mode and every time I get past the deathclaw in concord my character seems to be cursed with these auditory hallucinations of the "low power" power armor beep. Its actually the most annoying possible thing. My choices are to either not play anymore or forever play with my alarm clock blaring at me in reward for paying full price. If anyone has any constructive help please share. I'm desparate.
