FIXED: Black textures on some things (BUG/Glitch)
ATTENTION: THIS PROBLEM HAS BIN SOLVED!! YOU MAY STILL POST IF YOU LIKE PUT KEEP IT ON TOPIC!

THE ISSUE WAS: Random things ingame like items,NPC,buildings turn completely black when I'm some distance away from them but when i approach them the black texture fades away and the original texture returns but if i back away from it again the black texture returns!

HOW I SOLVED IT: Well...its was actually pretty simple. It was the mod called ENBoost that caused this issue probably due to the fact that it may have bin a bit too heavy for my 1GB GPU. The only downside now though is that most textures look low-res/ clay-like. The ENBoost from ENDev fixed the blurry textures but it created the black texture problem :/
I rather have low-res textures then annoying black textures

BUT if someone should have another solution that may potentially fix the low-res textures (without using ENBoost) then feel free to post! ;)

IGNORE THIS WALL OF TEXT HERE!

*****************************************

Hi everyone,

MORE INFO DOWN HERE:

So i have this strange problem that makes certain textures of things turn completely black when you are some distance away from them. but when you approach them they slowly turn into their original texture. It appears on Both NPC as well as Items/props sometimes even buildings if i play long enough. (it starts to become very noticeable around 1 hour playtime)

2017: the same problem still applies but it is a bit less instense now...but it still appears..Also
I noticed something strange in diamond city...The beams (that you probably never payed attention to) That support the buildings are like...always back...not full black like the bug but just very dark in general and that texture doesn't fade away when i approach it....
(This screenshot shows the beams that have this issue [note that its a photo i took of the internet (the photo shows what they should look like but they aren't like that in my case.) http://i.imgur.com/QgxcI0S.jpg

(screeshot of the issue)

also 2 vids about the problem:

Things i have tried:

-Verifying the game files
-Reinstalling Fallout 4
-Starting a new save
-disabling Antivirus
-disabling alll my mods
-putting the settings as low as possible
-putting the settings as high as possible
-Updating to the latest Nvidea Driver
-Downloading older drivers from Nvidea (even the ones before fallout 4 even came out)

THINGS I TRIED 2017:

- All of the above
- Installing the vivid texture mods for Fallout wich decreases the vanilla texture sizes and makes them look better.
- Installing even more mods that optimise the textures e.g. this one (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/978/?)
- Tried asking Bethesda for help....but that ofcourse didn't help much...they didn't even read my e-mail, they just send some stupid bot mail or some ♥♥♥♥...

Note: I am using a mod called ENBoost from endev.com to fix the blurry textures for 1Gb cards and allow the game to use more RAM....but even without it it still appears + the game looks ugly as hell with all those blurry textures....if ENBoost isn't active

My specs:

GPU: GTX 750 1Gb
CPU: Intel core i5 4460 3.2Ghz
RAM: 16G
OS: Windows 8 (64 Bit)
DirectX: 11.2
default cooling, default case

(The game runs at a steady +40 FPS)

SOME MORE INFO:

- I have no DLC's
- I donot have the "High resolution Texture Pack" because my pc will most likely not handle that.

Now i know you're gonna Tell me that this game is not supposed to be played on a 1Gb card but i didn't find anything about this problem on Google (there are however a few people that have this issue) + i can't be the only guy playing this on a 1Gb card.

Thanks in advance ;)

Your not the only one. :)

Yes it's random textures for me. (I use no mods or other, none.) Also for me the random textures are just black always. Started/got worse after wasteland workshop and beta.

Questions for me mainly:

What version of fallout 4 are you running? 1.4 or the beta.

What resolution are you running?

Is your problem better/worse if you don't run EnBoost?

Thanks.

1.4

1080P

well...it is just a little better but not much :( first 5 minutes of the game everything is fine and then it starts appearing and it starts building up from there....Bethesda should fix their S*** for once :|

It is 1.5 version now and beta only adds survial.
Texture is the problem and could be a shadow issue (search topic on shadows top of r/side of forum page). (changed ini file)
I presume no mods added now? could be left overs in a save.

You could head over to Nexus, they have a few texture mods that reduce the texture map sizes without making a hugh hit on the graphics quality.

This should help eliminate the black areas ( failure to load textures ).

When did you last download it? I was using the latest drivers too, then my textures started being black, so I downloaded a driver, and it fixed itself.

I know Nvidia comes out with a new driver every week so unless you have the GeForce Experience and download them automatically, you will likely find a new driver when you look it up.
