Why Mods On Console Will Suck
So many people get hyped for mods on console but the thing is, how is that going to work? To get a mod to work on console takes a lot and I doubt that many modders out there will put in that much more effort to do so. There is also the fact that the games files will become corrupted over and over again forcing you to reinstall the game entirely over. Files become corrupted on PC but we have backups and managers like NMM. Odds are that mods will only be in the form of .esp files since that is what the console port is able to read from the outsourced files. I honestly think it will be disappointing and that's not including the consoles huge limitation with mods as is on games. Also, console doesn't have .ini files or console commands to make most mods work. Big letdown.

That's because Bethesda didn't release GECK editing tool in time, and from what I've heard, you still have to jump through hoops to get it.
Must be because they have to peddle Workshop DLCs - if modders community got unrestricted access to proper tools, Bethesda's work would look like something an amateur did in a few hours.
Also, who even wants their work to be ported on console? That's directly harming modmakers: if mods are only available on PC, you buy PC version to get them; Bethesda marketologists see the numbers and pour more cash into optimizing PC version of next project. But if mods are available wherever, PC versions won't get that sales bump.

So until Bethesda realizes its mod policy is hurting modding community (or, you know, starts actually supporting them? Organizing competitions with some good hardware as prizes?), we'll be in ♥♥♥♥.

Also, once Skyrim Remasterd goes live, expect some cool mods for it to dissapear to prevent theft.

nexus is going through a period of, not mods,, but mere uploads..

ive been through tons of mods. most have actually been good and for the most part, you just take what you need, mix it with your own, and come up with your own epic framework of broken spanners.
there are some real cool mods on nexus.
and im defenately Not one to rip the pisss out of a nex mans mod.
but i do know what you mean.

you just gotta sift through the "uploads", to find the actual mods.

Lack of search skills.

dont know if your trolling or not well informed, try some big mods on skyrim and you will see that the quality is many times above the vanilla quality, quest locations new mechanics, i mean, try tales of the commonwealth on fallout 4, it even got a working AH to waste your money at.

Mods seem to be of steady working quality for console people. Console people are always in the comment sections of Nexus yelling at modders for more console support or else...
we know and its driving talented modders away because alot of mods have been and are being stolen cause bethesda is bearly monitoring the content.

There once was the idea of implementing a anti-theft-code. Can't think of something remotely useful but that way those crybabies would need to settle down and swallow their console-version. Without interrupting real mods on PC.

It's a shame that so many good modders threw the towel - just because of Dorito munching, Mountain Dew guzzling folks. /s
