Is it worth gwtting this sword it says its good against robots but is it any good against raiders and the odd super mutant im only level 9 and sticking to the first zone area i came across a mr gutsy and had only a machete and took him out

I always get it eventually. Once I have the perks I get it serrated and electfied does a lot more damage.
You can also get the Machete serrated as well.
If your into melee its a nice weapon to have.

I always go for Pickman's Blade or Kremvh's Tooth if playing melee. They are much better generl purpose weapons. You could probably get Pickman's blade at level 9, with a little luck. Kremvh's tooth is superior, but guarded by higher level enemies.

There's also Furious Power Fist which is amazing to begin with. imho, but personally i prefer the Chainsaw blade ones.

If you are quick at making caps and want a head start at a melee fighter then go for it. On my very first playthrough I got it, it helps too to fight off those annoying Turrets.

Chinese Officer Swords are probably the best melee weapon for a stealth melee.

my starting melee weapon of choice is the Rockville Swatter from Diamond City.
