Game is getting stuck at starting screen.
Ok so I tried contacting Bethesda Support and got some copy paste response that said to try 3 things that if they had actually read my ticket they would have know I had already tried all three. So I'm turning to you guys here hoping maybe you guys can point me in the right direction.

"Trying to get my game working again. I have about 90hr invested atm. Last night I tried to play the game, it launches just fine, press any key, then we get to the screen: Continue, New Game, etc.. and it just locks up. Keyboard get no response to continue. Mouse get no response and courser just disappears. So I'm just stuck at this screen unable to continue my game or even start a new one. Mind you its not locked in the since the game freezes the scene/video is still playing as if I'm just afk. I can still use my keyboard to alt+tab out, can still shift+tab to bring up the steam window, even Ctrl+atl+del to get the task manager works. I tried restarting my computer, no luck. I tried Verifying my files via steam. No luck. I tried removing the cloud save option. no luck. i even went as far as to uninstall and re download and install. again no luck. I tried to use the google machine to help me but couldnt find anything on this specific issue. Also I do have the Automatron DLC. it is installed but i do not have it launching with the game."

Heres a slightly edited version of what I sent to support. I have also since found out I can hit the ~ key to bring up the console command window and when I do this my keyboard works again and the mouse course reappears. But when I close the console command window back to no mouse and keyboard not working again. Also all my drivers are up to date.

Is there some secert place that save files are saved that 'removing local files' doesnt delete. An issue with a save file is the only thing that I can think is messing the game up. I would really prefer NOT to have to start all over but if I have to start over to get to play again, I guess I will have to bite that bullet.

Thanks in advance to any helpful advice you guys can send my way.

EDIT*** Ok so I just tried to launch the game it's working again nomally again. So pay no attention to this post.

What are your specs? Also game saves are in documents>my games>fallout 4.

Specs are fine. 2800k i7 16gbs ram and Sli GTX 560s ive had no issues playing the game since launch just started happening. But it know its working just fine again for some reason. thanks for the response and I will keep the note of where the save files are for future reference.

I know that the 'removed local files' does not remove everything especially if you have mods installed. To COMPLETELY remove it you have to manually delete game folder with Windows Explorer. Also it doesn't remove your save files they are located in the: User\Username\MyDocuments\MyGames\Fallout4 folder

Do you have a controller plugged in if so unplug it.

I assume one of the steps Bethesda sent was Verify File Cache in Steam but since you didn't mention it I will.
