Road building?
Is there a mod to allow you to build clean proper looking roads in settlements like sanctuary?

I am not sure if you mean 100% fixed roads or just cleaner. But there is the Spring Cleaning mod that might be to your liking.

Just be very careful with installation and use of any mods. Read everything before you decide to download and install.

It's not really what you want, but I personally find the mod fantastic

Well, you could try the TCL command in the console while placing stuff into the ground maybe. I highly doubt you will like the results though.

Though I just found this: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1843/? (Pre-Apocalyptic roads and sidewalks for Sanctuary)

Maybe keep an eye on the author or the keywords for future searches. GECK should hopefully come soon and bring what you want if not the new link.

If you use Place Anywhere, you can simple spawn those road pieces in, and move them wherever you want to.
I won't guarantee they snap together

Yes.
It's also a nifty tool that lets you place objects wherever you want, and here's a neat little thing they don't advertise it can do:
You can build outside of the building area, and literally build anywhere as long as the workshop interface is open

Precise Object moving And Rotation

An Autohotkey script to allow you to move objects in the gameworld through the console.

If you have a mod that allows you to place a road segment then that segment will land on top of the ground. This would allow you to lower it into the ground, rotate it, slide it around, whatever - far more precisely than the default control scheme.

Damn i cant get the place everywhere mod to work -.-

Still get red lines when trying to place floor tiles into the ground to build roads. :(

Way to necro a near 2 year old thread

also if you want to build more "cleaner" roads and such, maybe try using cement bases. If playing around you usually can get them very very close to the ground, and you can make really nice looking "floors" or "roads" in settlements using them. You might need some small stairs at the ends to let people up easier, but its not too hard, they work very nicely where other floor tiles won't work.

Thank you so much for this, necro or not. I would never have found that mod otherwise, and a placeable roads mod was exactly what I was looking for.
