BUG? Stuck on the "Vison of the future" Quest.

So I hooked up the phoropter prototype to a generator and terminal and set the parameters. The quest now says something like "speak to The Overseer and Clem." from what I have read online, Clem is the one conducting the test and I guess a settler is supposed to show up and volunteer but no matter how long i sleep/wait/work on my vault to kill time, no settler shows up. My settlers go to work on the crops on the same floor but no one will use the phoropter, and I can't assign anyone to it :(. The only thing that happens is that there is a marker over Overseer Barstow's head and when I talk to her she says "Now, we just need a volunteer for the phoropter." When I talk to Clem, I can only trade. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try unassigning one of the two 'original' settlers... if you can't break them off crops, the thing to do may be to assign them to something else (scavenging station, etc) make them walk away, and then delete the resource. They should go unassigned at that point.

I know this is an older post, but I recently got the season pass and had (and figured out) the same problem. If you daisy-chain the power from the terminal to each of the experiment pieces, you will not actually be powered up and will need to run a new power line from the terminal to the phoraptor.

Neither of these suggestions helped. This DLC is bugged to hell.

kinda a necro bomb, but here is the fix, open the console its typically the tilda (~) click the overseer and type " disable " and hit enter, than before closing the console type " enable " and hit enter that will fix the quest bug.... i know because i get this bug every play-through.

(This is in case anyone is still looking for an answer as I was for myself today but I think I finished it) I reset the experiment by deleting the console and moving the eye experiment to the other side of the room. I am using the vault power conduit on the wall. So there's a wire to the phoropter and a 2nd wire to the terminal and a 3rd wire from the terminal to the phoropter. When I completed this the overseer sent Clem to man the machine than another of the settlers came up and sat down. Then the quest finished however there was a moment when the Overseer kept asking Clem the same question over and over again I stepped away from her and then the settler sat down and it finished so it would seem that something caused this repeat whether it's a mod or a bug I'm unsure but if it happens just walk away from the overseer so the phoropter can finish its first exam. According to the overseer, all of the experiments have failed but I see it as making these new vault dwellers happy and observing the Hippocratic Oath.

Make sure the female seteler has a clear path to the front of the eye exam chair thingy
Removing the obsticales fixed it for me

Hey guys had this problem as well. Game would stuck on ''now we just need to wait for our volunteer'' part. And then I waited until morning...and it works. The quest doesn´t work at night because people are asleep. Hope that helps someone
