Occasionally my settlements are visited by a team of Minutemen
I sided with the Minutemen in the main quest. Nothing becomes of the visit; and they eventually wandered off. I was just wondering about its significance. Is there any? Such as, the settlement is "blessed" and there will be no future attacks on this settlement.

Nope, not really anything special.

You can summon with the MM flares. But no there is nothing particular about them. They are just random NPCs for atmosphere.

It's just to add life into the game.

I guess defending a Minutemen outpost earns no "blessing" too.

If you still travel the commonwealth by foot, not fast travel, you should see a huge Minutemen present. And if you took the fight to the BOS with the Minutemen you'll get Minutemen Vertibirds.

I like the activity in the commonwealth with the Minutemen in charge, it seems like order is restoring.

Its a patrol, wanders around the place.

For me, I have the whole commonwealth going on with these guys, and with a personal edited version of the Minutemen mod, I have guys in Regular Combat Armor, Full Assault Marine Armor, and T-45 Power Armor(All painted in MM colors) with all sorts of guns ready to protect the people at a minutes notice. I also made a treaty with the BOS so they can take care of the trash for me while my folks take care of whatever else needs be.
