nvidia inspector with Fallout 4 - please help me
I'm now working since 2 hours to configure Fallout 4 with nvidia inspector.
I haven't figured out how I can disable vsync and limit the FPS to 60 FPS successfully.
Really desperated....
Meanwhile I have deleted the fallout 4 profile of nvidia inspector. This profile was there at the beginning and I don't know if it matters that it's now deleted.

However:
I have made a new "Fallout 4" profile in nvidia inspector.
I have disabled vsync.
Framerate limited to 60 FPS.
The files Fallout 4.exe and the launcher exe are both listed in the profile.

But when I'm launching Fallout 4 the changes have not successfully implemented.

WHY??

You need to edit an ini file to disable vsync in Fallout 4.
This guide tells you how:

i know that there are ways with ini. But I have tried this and it doesn't work (in my case).
Then I tried nvidia inspector and once it worked (1 year ago).
And now I tried nvidia inspector again but somehow this procedure doesn't work.

If there's really no other solution I try other fixes like ini files etc.

I think tools like nvidia inspector or other tools are better than manipulating the files of fallout 4 manually.

You're supposed to force v-sync with Nvidia Inspector and turn off v-sync in the ini settings. Don't forget to also enable triple buffering. Windowed borderless also helps smooth things out.

do you mean forcing off with nvidia inspector AND turn off in ini file?

Editing the ini is the only way, as far as I know.
I can't explain it any clearer than that guide.

No, force it on with nvidia. You could also try fast sync by setting Vertical Sync in your profile to "0x18888888". It works like a framerate limiter but it's much smoother.

this nvidia inspector is strange:
Where does this program get all the game profiles?? by the way.
And is it bad that I have deleted the initial fallout 4 profile?

It's all stuff packed into the driver you downloaded and installed. Nvidia Inspector simply reads and allows changes to the driver. It's more like an extension of the control panel.

Errm except that it's supposed to be ipresentinterval=0. Sorry.

grrrr and now I have deleted an important entry of my driver program thanks to inspector.
I have just reinstalled fallout 4. The profile is still missing in nvidia inspector.

Reinstall the driver.

hi - back again.

I have followed the instructions.
In the menues theres still a huge mouse lag, but I think thats normal.
In game - well - I think there's no more mouse lag but I'm not very sure.

Following the instructions there was I thing I discovered:

Why is it necessary to add "bMouseAcceleration=0" in the file Fallout4Prefs.ini
in the "documents/my games" folder
when it's not necessary to add this "bMouseAcceleration=0" in the Fallout4Prefs.ini
in the steam directory ? ?
Both files are named same and contain a section called [controls].

However I have decided to put this entry in both files.

"

Next go to the second Fallout4.ini located at wherever you installed steam then open steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4, and under [Controls] once again add:

bMouseAcceleration=0

"

and this is NOT quite true. In this folder the file isn't called Fallout4.ini but
Fallout4Prefs.ini .
This is dizzying, too.
Only for ya info ;-P
