Mechanical menace - how to complete current objective with console command.

I've just got a dlc and started the mechanical menace quest. I need to "Eliminate the hostile robots" which I've done but it's glitched and won't acknowledge the objective as complete when I try to talk to ADA she just says "I'm searching for the target" and the mission marker has also disappeared from the map. How do I fix this

keep looking around area were fight took place, there probably still one more robot out there you miss. that has happen to me too.

Sometimes a robot is incapacitated (script borks or bot is almost kaput) and just lies on the ground. Check debris bots with vats.

Been all around the area and there's no robots left. The game has definitely glitched. Might be because I have the robotics expert perk and killed them all by hacking them. There aren't even any robots left, just piles of dust on the ground where I made them self destruct. Is there a console command to fix this?

Found the command it's "setstage DLC01MQ01 3000". This completes the quest.

If you have aggro on something while inside if you zone outside it will chase you outside.

Old post and response, just wanted to say thank you. Worked perfectly for me. Vats didn't find anything laying around. Respawned multiple times and ran around the whole area and didn't find anything. Read other people uninstalling and reinstalling the game but that would take me forever!

There is an easy workaround. Few simple steps:
1) find and resurrect few junkbots via console (resurrect 1)
2) kill them.
After these the quest should go further. At least for me it worked well.

Same here, worked perfectly.
I did try resurrecting some bots, in fact got some more goodies, but I think, as someone posted, one got away.

People found the solution TWO YEARS ago. Poeple have been using that solution for TWO YEARS. Yet you are going to suggestion they should crouch to see if they are in combat still.....

Nice assumption of people are too stupid to figure out if they are still in combat or not. These people probably have more play time than you.

This workaround is better:

setstage DLC01MQ01 2400

It will get ada unstuck without completing the quest. If you reset to 3000, you may end up skipping a bunch of DLC content.

As of TODAY, at least, SetStage DLC01MQ01 3000 does not work...consistently. The first time I tried this, the Mechanist started responding to conversation. Then she got all aggressive, and she and Sparks suddenly became invulnerable. I couldn't score a single point of damage, so I tried using the Kill command, ending up killing myself instead of the NPC I was pointing at.

This time [when I tried the suggested SetStage command], she ignored me. That console command no longer works. My game is completely unmodded, by the way. If you encounter this bug, and that command doesn't work, then you are not totally screwed.

Use the KillAll console command, turn off collisions and enter the control chamber, loot the Mechanist, cancel the security alert, and talk to Ada.
