Best companion for Far Harbor?
I'm trying to max the affinity of all my companions, and have just started Far Harbor. I always planned on using Nick for most of it, but I've already maxed his affinity. I'd use Old Longfellow, but I'm saving him for later when I get a steady amount of alcohol and inability to become addicted. Any other companions I can take that have a good amount of affinity from these quests?

Nick has unique dialogue interactions, specific to the events within Far Harbour, so I'd suggest taking him... If not on your first play through, but at some point...

Piper is a pretty default companion for it as she has all of the same +love bonuses as Nick with the only difference being lockpicking instead of hacking.

Nick is the only one of vanilla companions that has ANYTHING to say in the DLC. No one else says a peep. Longfellows also talks some, but hes a DLC companion. The SM with the dogs comments if you bring Dogmeat, but that about it.

Nick Valentine. Great character with unique, important dialogues.

Nick basically gets a second companion quest if you bring him.
Damnit, I knew Nick would be the best but as I said I maxed out his affinity. Guess you guys win, I'm taking Nick.

Damnit. He did mention DiMA in one of his dialogues. How different is it?

Well you just experienced it. Idealy it would be wise to take Nick straight after you rescue him from the Vault but Ow well

Oh, that was it? That's good. I'm still gonna be taking him to do the DiMA puzzles. I've only done Far Harbor once before, and I settled with a peaceful ending having everyone survive, so this time I'm taking Longfellow with me and destroying the children of atom. Any quest that don't involve them I'll probably take Nick along
