No player character limb severing?

I died enough times, whetever it's stepping on a mine, being touchdowned by fat man etc. Character dies with healthy body, but enemy limbs actually sever , explode etc. Is it just me?

Nope you are wrong.......but than again i have a ton of mods so who knows......but come on, i can think of 100 things to betch about than that in this game lol!

You can cripple the limb, on some monsters I think they can regenerate though, like on Super Mutants.

There's a mod called "Live Dismemberment" on the nexusmods that has got some wild dismembering you might be looking for.

Come to think of it, I've never seen my toon getting dismembered either. Although I suspect it's because Bethesda thinks we project ourselves on our toons and seeing them gibbed will leave scars on our psyche.

i find it funny i get gibed to peices by a bloatfly attack yet a mininuke makes me fall over like a sack of spuds

You can be blown apart, vaporized, and gooified. But it can only happen on death. Dismemberment seems the hardest because everything targets your main body (but hits everything else when not in VATS), so it has to happen during twitch combat.

Appears it's because of Atomic Beauty mod, it won't allow my character to be goried (Always beautiful (>,<') )

if you use CBBE, then dismemberment does not work on any modified body, only thing that works is head popping. Also live dismemberment is pretty good, I like the "liebemode" version, it happens rarely and you really need to get alot of shots on the same limb to dismember. Most of the time if you land all your shots and a limb pops off, the enemy only needs one more bullet to die.

I've never seen anyone upset because they didn't get dismembered XD this is a first.

I'm using Brutal one, but I can't go any above than that, there are only 3 .esp in NMM , which are : Liebermode, Regular and Brutal.

As a fun note, only 2 enemies in the game (Seemingly?) can bloody mess you. Deathclaw's power attack, and... strangely, Diamond City Guards.

Bloody mess isn't the same as dismemberment, which happens if a body part is crippled at the moment of death. I'm talkin the full red paste gibs.
