Have a look at OCDecorator if that's your thing (and don't already use it) as it allows you to place static objects that your settlers won't knock over...
For those who use mods, get Build Your Own Pool...
It has a relaxation marker which can be placed anywhere you wish and triggers NPC relaxation behaviour, as if the marker was a bar, motivating them to interact with objects in the general area...
I've used it to encourage settlers to gather in seating areas after their shifts, rather than stand around their crops like idiots...
I place lots of static items with console commands... but not here yet, I've got a couple hours in the interior, that's all.
Fair enough... Don't get me wrong, it definitely looks good all the same...
Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't released it as a separate mod as I've made gooduse of it, even with bars, as it allows me to spread settlers out so I'm not fighting my way through them when I want something from the bar vendor...
The slot machines and gym equipment being relaxtion objects do kinda make sense though when you think about it... Alot of people hit the gym, or have a flutter on the pokies after work, so yeah, I'm really not surprised at this...
make "checking it out" easier to enjoy.
No no, the entire vault... this is part of a string of posts I've been making as I build out Vault 88. ALL of vault 88. I've already used the entire floor space of the main cavern and am going up 5 stories, and there will be in-use facilities in the successive caverns. That cafeteria, there's a clinic above it and another shop above that of exactly the same size; there's an even larger trading post, and will soon be slightly smaller armor and weapons shops. Each shop has keeper's quarters with bathrooms, there's a visitor's dorm with bathroom, there's a massive overseer's office and quarters.... just huge.
EDIT: Oh, and a two-story tall hydroponics room.
Thanks. That last shot is why I'm calling it the mega-build... every square inch of main cavern I can pack useable space into is going to be used.
On a related note, gym equipment shouldn't be placed on third (maybe even second) floors. I have a third floor gym and for some reason the settlers keep going to the floor below to get to them and the ones that wind up teleporting into it get stuck, never to return to their jobs or beds again. I think it's also causing a lot of delays in the settler assignment scripts as well.

No mods, anything not doable in build mode was done with console commands on vanilla/DLC.
