Recon Bunker Theta....? Help
I stumbled upon the bunker but the computer on the outside says I need a key. I looked around the area and counldn't find anything to help. I went on Steam and didn't find any help. I went on Wiki and learned it was part of the Lost Patrol quest from The Brotherhood. I never completed the quest before killing off the Botherhood but I still have all the quest items in my inventory. I went inside the bunker using "tcl" and it was empty. I mean the Botherhood Knight that is suppose to be there with a special weapon is not there. Is there a way to get the key to open the door that triggers him to appear? Or is this quest line and him just "dead" once the Botherhood is gone?

From what i recall:
1: If you stumble on the lost patrol quest before finding danse or the BOS you can only get upto the bunker but no entry.
2: After danse/bos you can then "restart" the quest kindof and gain entry.

But killing the BOS is akin to being stuck at above point 1, no entry and contents wont load as its a scripted event.

Im sure theres a work around, but the game does not like messing with scripted events. Such as killing certain things in point lookout before getting the quest to kill them and then the game will ctd on loading the area...

Considering the dudes mental state if you know the quest, i`d assume he would not take the loss of the BOS very well, last straw kind of thing...

You cannot access it until you get to the right stage of The Lost Patrol. The quest starts when you find one of 3 distress beacons. Each one will give you a clue to the next the last will give you the location and code to enter Recon Bunker Theta.

If you don't care about spoilers here is a full description.

you have to personal; holotapes and a battlefield holotape, that is the one that has the password to the bunker. no idea if irt will work though with the BOS wiped out.

I have all the holotapes in my invantory, it wont let me drop any, I played all of them. The last one metions a bunker up north but doesn't say anything about a password.

So I guess the guy left and locked the place up tight. Oh well. Another special weapon lost. Damn Brotherhood!

It should have allowed you to access the bunker automatically once you had played all 3 tapes, so it looks like the BOS being destroyed wipes out the quest.

Damn Brotherhood! Stick it to you any way they can.

There are no special weapons in this game. It's simply a laser rifle with the bloodied legendary prefix. Just pick up any laser rifle (not into the inventory, just pick it up), enter getplayergrabbedref in console, this will get you a number (e.g. f00726b). Enter that number and add .amod 1ec036 (e.g. f00726b.amod 1ec036) and you have the same weapon you missed in the bunker.

You might also waste weeks of your life farming legendary mobs in a single player game gone MMO. I prefer console :)

well you can do the quest without the BOS however you can't persuade brandis to the BOS and you're stuck with the holotapes if I'm right.

Brandis also has his own special power armor armor during act 3 of the game. It is all black if I remember right.

Charon, I consider any weapon with a star next to it, or if it has a name, special. I would rather get a weapon randomly from a mob or off a particular npc then by entering a code in to console. I use console a lot. But somehow that feels like cheating.

Speed Freak 1972, if you can do the quest without the BOS then what am I missing? I have all the holotapes. The last one only mentions the bunker and no code for it. And when I force my way in to the bunker, TCL, there is no one inside. Did I miss a step?

Bored Peon, do you have any thoughts on how I can finish this quest?

did you get the quest you have to start at medtek? as for what you're missing ... some caps from danse and the possibility to talk him back to the BOS.

Speed, What quest at medtek? I started this quest when I stumbled apon a dead BOS in a radio dish site held by supermutants. The last clue I got was when the holotape said something about a bunker up north. I never followed it up, too much bigger stuff going on, and I just stumbled upon the bunker by luck. Im not sure what caps from Danse means and I know I cant talk him back to the BOS. I was hoping to get a chance to get the legendary weapon he has. I read some where you can get it by pickpocketing him. And maybe the special armor.

Ignore him.

You just need to do the distress beacons at National Guard Training, Revere Satelite Station, and the burnt house east of Everett estates.

well smart however if you don't have the quest you can pickup whatever you want, but the code for the bunker will not be added .... check your quest logs.
