Report a translation problem
That explains why I can give a stack of pipboys to a settler and they equip one and the rest disappear. The oens that do not disappear are the ones form those crates. Thanks.
Haven't noticed this on any other items bar those two. Noted that longjohns bug was fixed as of 1.7.9.0 so that puts it down to perhaps an animation bug. Occurs on all settlers I equip a pitboy on so will have to try Miro's suggestion in dumping them all on one settler.
At least there's one way of deciphering who is legit and who isn't.
Objects in the game world are different than objects in containers (your inventory is a container) and dropping/picking them up can make them lose weird values.
You SEE? THIS is the kind of thing that makes me lose sleep at night! I might have Synths INSIDE my Vault? I think the Devs watched the latest Battlestar Galactica one time too many!
