Fallout 4 1.7.10 update breakes F4SE again

and once again it happens Fallout 4 Script Extender is broken once again by a little 50 mb update called 1.7.10 for everyone that had this happen again the best thing you can do is go into setting and limit your download time to one hr a day for all updates and try and go into the fallout settings and try to limit the game to only update when its lunch though steam and use the nexus mod manager to start the game though the script extender only but even if u do that steam has a bad habbit of not saving your settings or just going back and overwriteing your settings

You, yourself may not see it, and you don't even have to after i tell you this, but quite a few mods rely on the script extender to perform certain tasks that fallout 4 by itself can't handle, such as Place Anywhere, the Achievements mod (replaced by the other one), or even script heavy mods that require a "little more" to function properly.
A lot of people use the script extender, and fallout 4 is constantly being updated so it's best not to blame either party (not saying you are), if anyone tries to, bethesda is just trying to update their game, and f4se isn't officially supported so it's on "you" if it's updated and you can't play anymore.

I just set FO4 to only update when I start the game 2 days ago, should've known Steam would reset it since then. grrrrr

i did the same and it just did the same to me just now this is why i made the post
try going into settings and limit the update download time to just one hour of a day this way u know when its going to try and force a update and can stop the download as it trys to update

I wish you had the option to deny an update, then install it later. Instead of install immediatly or whenever you start the game.

yea it seems that force updates is the new goto thing for any dev now windows was trying to push the same thing during the last few days of 10 being free to download

Pretty much nothing as FOSE is the Fallout 3 Script Extender LOL. The OP probably meant F4SE.

Nobody is forcing anyone to use F4SE, and the fact it breaks with every update is irrelevant to this forum. F4SE is unsupported software, and it has nothing to do with Bethesda or the Fallout 4 forum.
