My solution is a monoculture in separate robot run farms. One farm makes this ingredient I need, another makes this one, and the other makes the third ingredient in starch, and nothing else, except water, but you don't need workers for that. Yes, it means walking a lot further than you may like, but you are at least guaranteed to find what you want when you get there.
If all three have the same number of crops and the same number of workers, the output should be the same, so that you end up with the right proportions for the recipe.
