AP regen is the powered variant... I like that too, would be thrilled to have a full set of that
Like for survival I like the bonus to sprinting on legs, that +20% to move comes in real handy once fast travel is gone.
Then for other pieces it depends what attributes I am lacking. Like if I have low agility I will use any agility pieces I have to increase agility.
I mostly use sharp gear when I find it because it adds to charisma (for settlement recruiting) and intelligence which gets better xp rewards.
A lot is really going to depend on your luck though. Not every game is going to give you the same legendary pieces or weapons.
Has anyone tried multiple pieces of the Auto stim effect? If so, does that become powerful to the point you don't need any stimpaks at all?
Have you tried to use multiple pieces with this effect? Do the effects stack per piece? Is it worth constantly being at <25% health?
As for me I am playing a melee character so it's all Fortifying for me.
In my power armor, I run Atom Cats T-60 with the head and torso Sharp, the legs Fortifying, and the arms Cunning. I add the sensory helmet mod, jetpack torso mod, calibrated legs mod, and tesla bracers arm mod.
Once you have the ballistic weave the type of base armor (normal, sturdy, heavy) does not really matter anymore. There is a diminishing return on damage resistance.
The stats on normal armor do not apply while wearing power armor, they are not considered equiped.
VATS Enchanced cause VATS usage is awesome.
Sharp, Fortifying, Cunning and Lucky effects are good depending on which SPECIAL stat you specalize in.
Other armor effects are kinda situational imo.
5 chameleon is fun, 5 strength/endurance is alright (it adds a TON of hp at level 200ish)
For Charisma builds you use 5 unyeilding with 75% radiation poisoning :)
Damage reduction from armor is 1-0.5(AttackDamage/Armor)^0.3653
(minimum 1% if armor>0, max 95% unless armor is 1mil+)
It's almost a cube root, so it does level off pretty fast...
With ballistic weave I prefer lighter armor.
