Random Encounters broken?
Ive noticed that the random static spawn locations in my game appear to be broken...you know them...the camp site on otherside of Concord....the bend in the road near the BOS police HQ..under the railbridge near the drive in
...they were all happening fine whenever i walked near them...

now they seem to have just stopped.

Also...i know survival is supposed to be long respawn on cleared cells.but..its broken.

Corvega is the only cleared location I have that is respawning, all others are barren of life. Its near the point I can walk across the map and not have to worry about anything other than roaming bands of rust Devils

Some of them go dead while another nearby location becomes the prime location.

It also varies game to game. There will be like four random encoutner spots that pop up when you first enter the cell, then after that one or two of them become the dominant ones and those are the ones to respawn.

Ther eis also some encoutner that lock a location as well. The Longneck Lukowski settler, Kelly, and a couple others that once they spawn there they remain there rest of the game.

Btw those roaming bands of Rust Devils are random encounters.

i was mostly hanging around down by Hangman. The USS Riptide hasn't respawned in 150 hours of play, but the tower right before Layton tower has respawned four or five times with different enemies. i think someone said it takes 90 game days to respawn. I have found that it takes much longer. I like it. Some playing survival mode don't. For me it gives a sense of progress. Cleaning up the commonwealth one bad guy at a time. I just go further and further out from my settlement until i come to a new settlement, and then work the area around there. if it is a bug, i hope they never fix it.

i have heard that Quincy respawns quite frequently. Mass pike interchange hasn't respawned for me yet, but i cleared it out only about 50 hours ago.

The areas respawn every 30 days. However that timer resets every time you revisit that cell.

One of the main reasons I did not agree with the removal of fast travel. Running through an empty wasteland sucks and it stays empty because you ran through it.

so if i keep moving through an area, the cell will never reset? Awesome.

and if you walk all round the Wealth that should take about 30 days if you don't miss bits... no it would take longer, go from Sanctuary to Salem then down to Quincy, west to glowing see, north back to Sanctuary, then you still got all the middle to do, lol.

there isn't a whole lot up north, which is good since i have been around Hangman for 120 hours of game play. Since i tend to sleep a lot, i am sure i have hit the 90 days that i heard was the cell reset number.
