Instigating guss rifle one shot....anything lol. Love it. You could say double shot is better but it eats wayyyyy to much of that hard to find ammo

Double-shot doesn't eat anymore ammo. You will spend the same ammo as you will with any other version of that weapon... So, if you're not using an one-shot weapon then the two-shot is superior to Instigating.

Though, honestly, wanna hear a very powerful weapon? Get a Two-Shot Plasma Thrower... You will be doing around 400+ damage per second with a grand total of around 60,600 damage in a single clip (which takes around 70-80seconds to eat up, mind you)... Not much lives against that.

instigating gauss rifle does 10.9k with sneak attack headshot... (lone wander + all other damage perks). Explosive minigun (with all perks) does over 7k damage per second :)

Double Shot Fatman with MIRV mod is more fun ;) EXPLOSIONS!

Also suicidal without full metal dense armor or explosive shielding.

Defiant Fat Man is better in my opinion than even instagating.

Explosive Gauss Rifle is the king of single-shot damage if you perk up Demo. Even better than Instigating. But all this is irrelevant since sneak attacks kill anything in 1 hit. They really need to stop making Sneak Attacks so OP to hide the fact that Bethesda's stealth system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Maybe if Bethesda games didn't punish you for leveling up too much they wouldn't need borked stealth...
Until then: Shift = x4.7 damage, yay! :)

Btw, multiple copies of dense don't help, fully perked fatman will kill you even with >1.5k hp and lone wanderer up. 1 dense + 1 padded will work together though.
Also: settlers don't benefit from dense mods on robot/metal limbs (weird).
(Settler max health also does not increase due to endurance bonuses...)

How does any game need broken stealth? I've never used a Stealth character and I think I've died a grand total of 3 times in 990 hours all on Survival, with all 3 deaths being from adjusting to the new survival update.

Honestly, I don't mind the Sneak Attack damage, or the ease of staying hidden individually, it's the fact tha tyou can do both simultaneously so readily that bugs me. Stealth should be high risk-high reward gameplay. You shouldn't be able to pop a squat in broad daylight 2ft in front of a Mythic Deathclaw and cank out 10 sneak attacks.

Well if you aim too close then I would agree with you. However if you do not do that, you should be fine using the Big Boy like that. Heck I use it that way lol. With or without being in power armor. Just need to not use it too close. Of course thats how it works with all explosives..

As for the stealth system.. For what ever reason when sneaking around in power armor I can not help but think of Peter Griffin's laugh from Family guy when he was attemptng to sneak. ><

( I tend to favor stealth in most games, also tend to plan out the attack if I get the chance to do so. )

I used Stealth in New Vegas, but only because of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rattlensake dogs.

On very hard mode you do 0.5x damage. at level 210ish every enemy (with autolevel) has 1.5k-2.5k hp - so effectively 3k-5k hp. (more if you include armor)
Without stealth it would be annoying just stocking enough ammo to kill all the super bullet sponges :/
I really wish they capped enemy level (like they did in skyrim) or something, because ever increasing enemy hp long after you maxed damage output is annoying as hell.

If you are too close to your target, some of the bombs will hit you. Go to one of the quarries and fire it, or be in power armour with the rocket pack when you let that beast off the chain.
