Warwick's homestead, joining Minutemen.
Hello people. I've got a weird question. Is this possible to bring this settlement back when they left Minutemen once? At the very beginning of the game I didn't invest in this settlement at all, when they asked for help I was ignoring, due to lack of resources . So the settlement left Minutemen. The same thing happened to the Greentop Nursery. But I went back to Greentop, after so many time, and they asked me to help them with Supermutants. After the quest they joined once again. I was hoping the same will happen to Warwick's but anytime I visit them, they are happy and no quest is given.

you have to wait for preston to repeat the magic words and send you to warwick homestead.

and once he gives you that quest and finished it at preston. Prestons reply? Thanks for saving the settlement. By the way, you need to walk back to that settlement you just saved because theyre in trouble again.

and another thing. ive heard of a settlement being raided by supermutants.
i heard of another settlement that needs our help.
by the way, another settlement needs our help.
ive gotten word of another settlement that needs our help, ill mark it on your map.
our scouts have found a promising spot for a new settlement.
remember when everyone was making 'arrow tot he knee' jokes? another settlement needed your help.
preston garvey romance scene "OH Jessica! UHMPPGHH!!!! Oh settlement..." "What did you say, preston?!"

Haha, pretty funny what you said about Preston :D But sadly that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stopped talking about settlements at all. I moved him to several locations, visited him a couple of times, and looks like he gave up. No talking at all. :/

Did you reclaim the fort yet? I've found that after reclaiming the fort, the "settlement needs help" requests usually come from Radio Freedom, not Preston.

Yes, I finished the game very long time ago. I Did all the quests already. I also listened to Radio Freedom but nothing happens.

I just ignored him totally, sent somewhere to be alone, without other settlers. And now it looks like he is mad at me.

you do know Roger Warwick is a synth and the Institute's stated plan to wipe out the whole Warwick family once their experiments are over?
Challenger Jul 31, 2016 @ 11:18am
Yes, I found it out yesterday when I revisited homestead. I found two dead bodies, Bill and someone else, they had letters about synth case. However when I kill Roger, he doesn't have a synth part in his inventory. As he is synth he should have one. I started to kill every person in the game to make sure who is human or not, what I discovered is Magnolia from Third Rail in Goodneighbor is a synth either. Anyway I loaded my save. I'm not "bad" player, and everyone lives in my game ;p

The radio does not generate the quests, the actual settlements do. The radio just relays the quest to you. That is why you only get quests when settlements actually need help. Settlements will generate those same quest WITHOUT Preston or the radio.

Preston will first give you a quest IF a settlement needs help. If no settlement actually needs help he will generate a random quest like the BOS npcs do.

There is a way to gain contorl of the settlement. However it is really bugged, it has never worked right on a settlement I had not owned yet. However it may work where you owned it once before, possibly. You can open the console and set ownship of the the workshop. The bug comes when the name of the settlement never appears on your pipboy, or any sort of other settlement list (including transfers and supply lines.)

Another option would be try using the console and giving yourself the quest to get the settlement originally.

It take sa crapton of neglect to lose a settlement. You lsot two of them. You obviously are not doing something right.

No man, nothing wrong. They asked me for help only 4-5 times, and after ignoring, they left. Other settlements weren't happy aswell but stayed with me anyway. I literally cared only for Sanctuary and Abernathy's Homestead. And those 2 which left me were pain in the ass. They were asking for help a lot. More than others.

About setting ownership? I did. And it seems it's not working.

Problem is solved, finally. After whole day of visiting homestead, a couple of raiders decided to kidnap Janey Warwick. I saved her and I've got my settlement back.
