It's more to do the engine restriction, not this "PC master race" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Also the settlement size limit was included to keep people from causing issues on the consoles, such as freezing, long load times, and crashing. Most people who play this game on their computers even with the minimum requirements can surpass it easily to different build levels without an issue.
Wow nicely done
No, not even close. The next gen consoles are the equivalent of 3 year old mid range PC's. Otherwise where are all the 4K console games? Even the next releases of PS4 Neo and Xbox1S, will not have the 4k PC already have now.
But hey, lots of reasons to get a console if you want one. Just don't have it for the reason 'they are the same', because that's really not true.
Xbox1S might, the GPU is slightly more powerful than a 980 Ti, combine that with the much lower resource overhead on a console and the lower level API access and it will probably handle 4K 60fps pretty easily.
At least, that's what i "used" to think.
You see, Nvidia actually has quality video cards, and so does amd when it comes to their actual 900 series, but after the 1000 series it seems they're at least trying to appeal to their customers a bit more, offering cheap alternatives and fair prices.
EVGA GTX 1080: $400
EVGA GTX 1070: $300
EVGA GTX 1060: $200 - $250
At least they're trying with their new series of cards, I own a 1080 personally and It runs smoother than a GTX Titan X (not the new one), and a 980ti any day, with perfect 4k performance, so I'm glad they're at least trying now.

As for consoles, rehashes of integrated amd hardware, they're not "terrible", but they're not by any means "great", they're made cheap, to sell for more, and make profit off of people, if they included nvidia or amd dedicated gaming hardware it's cost a lot more, consoles are your budget gaming machines basically.
This is a chart comparing it to some PC GPU's, most of which are blown away by the 980.

It's stated that some of the testing could not be complete because of some ram thing or another, but it would have to be like 4x better to compete with the top PC gpu on the list there.
There may be some point about lower overheads and streamlining for games, but yeah, 4x better just for GPU. What about the CPU?
