Am I the only one who godmodes when I'm building stuff?

I just want to build. Not go grind resources where I could possibly mess up construction and waste those resources, where I can build what I want the way I want it.

No shame on having used TGM to construct most of my settlements, because, well, I made a settlement on every possible place, including Far Harbor.

But I still gather junk in my travels (some of it even becomes part of my collection of rare junk items), so I tend not to feel guilty about it :p.

I don't use godmode but I do use no clipping when I build stuff, or when I want to see how everything looks from a bird's eye view. Or when I just feel like flying around the map dropping nukes on everyone

wow impatient lil kids can't actually play a game. Keeping an eye out for resources you need is part of the gameplay.

Just kidding. Personally I never use console commands or "cheat". But I honestly understand it's a single player game, there is no such thing as cheating.
If you enjoy it, do it.

I've got a txt file that I use to "bat" shipments of all resources in when I start a new settlement. That, and I use the "cross jetpack" mod with the no fall damage activated for moving around. Nothing worse than falling off some makeshift scaffolding after making a huge addition and no save in between.

funny thing is, I still collect everything I come across. There's just not enough damn wood and steel!

Just add

bInfiniteItems=1

to your fallout4.ini and you don't have to TGM all the time.

Infinite items for building and planting, the only time you'll use resources is when you're crafting weapons and armor mods

You can always watch you tube if you're to lazy to play the game as intended.

I like that god mode gives you unlimited material for settlement building but not for Weapon, Armor, and Robot Crafting. I don't know if it was intentional but if it was, someone was thinking ahead.

I prefer gathering my resources for upgrading my gear, that's satisfying to me. I don't enjoy running around gathering ♥♥♥♥ so I can build a little house for people who will most likely spend 90% of the time hitting the outside wall with a hammer.

Building settlements is more of a relaxing thing for me where I can just do whatever the heck I want without having to worry about using all my good resources on things that don't actually make the game easier or harder.

The junk collecting and random exploring is that makes Fallout 4 fun for me. I usually "come home" to Hangmans carrying around 2000-3000 pounds of junk, armor and weapons each trip, scrap the weapons and armors and dump the junk in the workbench afterwards.
