Overseer's Most Wanted bug?

So I was messing about with some of the Vault 88 stuff and ended up setting this quest on Cait, my current follower. Obviously I found her immediatly but for some reason the quest stuck around. Obviously it's easy to ignore but I would like to get rid of it for the sake of a tidier mission log, anybody else having this problem or fixed it?

I also can't complete this mission. For me it's Preston Garvey. I find him, make him my companion, chat with him- nothing completes this mission. I really want to clear it off my list, have you by chance found a solution since you posted this?

It's not the best but I just used console commands to force complete the mission, theres a wiki dedicated to them so just google it, it's relatively straight forward, hope this helps.

Captain Black is correct, I actually just found that feature on a whim shortly after I made my comment. If you go back into the console, there's an option along the lines of "disable tracker". Every other mission in this game closes itself once you accomplish the main goal, this is definitely odd...

Hmm, I suppose I never checked, once I put it on I moved everything around and didn't use the console again after that

Deactivate the VIP Tracker in the Vault-Tec Population Management System unit you built somewhere in workshop mode.
