I wish you could go back and change the parameters. It's not explained well and for some people, they don't understand what they are doing when choosing.

I have to admit, while I'm happy that we get to build vaults, I'm rather disappointed that we got a whopping THREE experiments.

To add insult to injury, if you're not using mods, you will never power your base solely with slav...residents on bikes. Four power? Sure.....

I agree that the parameters need to be changeable.
I've been pretty happy with Fallout 4 until this DLC. I like the building stuff but the so called quest fell flat. Vault Tec is suppsed to be known for its cruel and twisted experiments on people, something this add on didn't add at all. I was hoping to do something like testing grenades on people, or dipping them in some kind of F.E.V concoction that turns them into super mutant molerats or something. Not putting them on a exercise bike and using them for a pathetic power source.

You can test grenades on whoever you want, whenever you want. You don't even need the dlc.

So you were happy with the other workshop DLCs, which did not have quests and explorable areas, but you are now unhappy because the experiments did not live up to your hype?

The experiment paramaters are easily changed from the console.

The buildable settlement console or console commands?
PCZ Jul 28, 2016 @ 8:05am
The PC command console.

open up the console
help experimental 3

that will show you the settings for the four experiments you did and the variable names.
They are only 3 options 1, 2 or 3
the trailing 00 can be ignored.

example to set the slot machine to option 3
set dlc06RecipeUnlockSlotMachineExperimental to 3

example to set the soda machine to option 2
set dlc06RecipeUnlockSodaStationExperimental to 2

Necroing this thread. I tried that with my powerbike, but setting it from 1 to 3 makes it inaccessible until I change it back to 1.

So that's a bummer.

Wish I could lose money for happiness. Running around with 200,000 caps and its just not going to go down. That lady luck quarter dispenser just isn't good enough...

Hello Jeff Clem, sorry you feel that way... :steamhappy:

The best way to get good settings for the vault tec DLC experiments is to get into where the overseer is and then shoot her right between the eyes, take the blueprints and start using the gadgets. The settlers love them.

You can do the whole vault without having to do the little annoying quests and you get the pleasure of killing that nasty ghoul.

Also, there can be negative consequences for choosing some of the parameters e.g. if you choose to make revenue with the poker machine it will negatively affect your settlements happiness.

PS. When you kill the overseer you still get Clem but he's a just like a normal settler.
