questin on a few Rad symbols

Ive been playing fallout since fallout came out lol(the very first 1 i mean). And have never really had a problem figuring things and sybols and what not out, but theres a few symbols that show up on your hud next to the number of rads your taking somtimes. For example you might see a +15rads/sec or w.e it says, and than u might see a >10rads...and thats where my quesiton comes in.......what does the > and < symbols mean, im pretty sure the + symbol means your taking in that number of rads, but im not sure what the other symbol(s) mean..........if anybody can help, id appreciate it, thank you

For the record, i just want to say.... I NEVER said i liked this 1 lol, i was just trying to figure out what the symbols ment lol. I wasnt quite sure they ment greater than or less than, but thank you for clearing that up for me......and as they say, it never hurts to ask.
