Vault-Tech Atrium components
has anyone else found it incredibly difficult to get walls and roofs to place? Honestly, you cant attach walls to a floor in a way that allows you to attach a roof to the walls. So you have to use preset walls/roofs. The problem being that there isn't a preset for all combinations, and even if you use them the next wall next to a corner peice cannot be placed.

Is it just me or is this building set completely unworkable?

it took me several hours to build a grand front Atrium with the angled ceiling that had no center piece and to make the overseer's quarters, bedroom and bathroom, you have to place doorframes back to back to connect a stair or hallway to another room, when I finally finished I fault like I assembled a 2500 piece jig saw puzzle and my brain needed a massive brain fart from to much thinking!..

It's not completely unworkable but it takes forever to just about force the game to take what we give it. Took me hours for the first room & many differnt parts to force them to fit.

I honestly think they should consider patching this DLC from the other complaints I've been reading.

I cannot get anything other than a square floor plan to work. Roofs do not seem to connect to a wall, you seem to have to use preset wall/roof combos and corners, unless they fit into a square, do not seem to allow for neighbouring walls. Furthermore not enough presets exist to allow for the player to construct things as he wishes.

The image on this page, the game simply will not allow me to construct in this fashion, no matter wich peices I try to use to acheive this.

there is a small part for that angle but as all other parts its very dificult some times to snap it to place

I remember seeing outer cornor pieces for the Atrium set and overseer's room set, I'll take a in game screenshot of them and post them on my next game launch, I have to start a new game because I removed spring cleaning and it's extended scrap list mod, I had scrapped some wall's I shouldn't have in the game last night and had the void cell in parts of the cave!..

Thank you guys, dont put any effort into trying to assist me with this one - I expect I will just give it some time and hope against hope that Bethesda actually put some effort into fixing their flawed products for once.

A fella at nexus mods made a vault mod several months ago that was easier to build, but I had ctd's with it and haven't used it in a couple of month's Build your own Vault by DarthWayne[www.nexusmods.com] it uses Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) it's teleport file uses F4SE and may of been what caused my ctd's!..

here is the atrium corner pieces, it's called a inner cornor bottom

When I start to build the overseer's office I'll take a picture of the inner overseer piece and post it

Buildilng settlements has always been tricky if you're doing more than just slapping down presets. This is nothing new. My suggestion is to save the game, then practice building your big structures out in the center of the big open area until you figure it out.

I had no trouble with concrete, I have built huge intricate structures. With atrium components I can't even attach a regular roof to a regular wall.
