Good gun mods?
I've gotten bored of most of the guns in fallout and I can't find any good mods so I need suggestions on some of the best ones.

These questions are always subjective. I have no answer other than there are literal thousands of gun mods on nexus. I'd say it depends on what you want. Lore-friendly, not, rifles, shotguns, etc. Narrow down what you are actually looking for and I'm sure you'll find something. I have modded everything BUT the guns tbh. Good luck.
I enjoy running around with a tec-9 and trench shotgun mods. Also, G36 mod has a quest attached to it.

I have no idea what you like, but I will share what I did.

I wanted to have a more tactical feel while being fairly close to lore history, so I didn't want a bunch of P90's and UMP's etc.

These are what I am running. They make the game a bit more along the lines of ww2-cold war era. I could add more but I think if I do add more they would be redundant, as all basic niches are filled. If I added any more it'd be an sks, and maybe an uzi or mp40..the Fal mod might be decent (basically Combat rifle in game equals Fal), but again it seems redundant. I wanted to choose weapons from ww2 to basically Vietnam, and not past.

(forgive me if I do not have exact mod names correct a search on nexus and you'll figure it out)
Springfield Armory M1A
WWII M1 replacer for Hunting Rifle
Vanilla Weapon Replacer Service Rifle
Thompson SMG Replacer
Service Rifle
See through Scopes
New Calibers service rifle patch
Sturmgewehr 44 v1.2
More Weapon Ammo Conversion Receivers
M1 Garand
F4NVServiceRifleRedux_awkcr
Extended weapons mods
Aimpoint Pro for deadpool2099's Service rifle.

Also get :
New Calibers
Loads of Ammo

This is what will make above mods shine, being able to actually chamber them in the ammo that not only is correct but makes them ballistically behave accurately. (you can finally get the farharbor guns in appropriate calibers)

Here's the problem. Once you add these the game will be in easy mode. An M1A and service rifle pretty much behave spot on and they are death on a stick. So you need a little game balancing. For that reason then get these:

Better locational Damage
Better Locational Damage And Optional Overhauls

This will in general make the game behave with hyper realism. The Downside is it's going to get deadly as hell. The upside is you will also get deadly as hell. It completely changes the feel of the game. It makes it more inline with a tactical shooter like Squad, Insurgency etc...

If the dumbest of dumb raiders get the drop on you close with a auto 32 piperifle you likely will and can die. even with decent armor. There is no more run and gun, you must be methodical and behave as you really would in a fire fight. (likewise while mutants and big monsters are still dangerous, you now have firepower to take them down if your careful early game) But as their weapons get better... watch out. The ballistics are as harsh on you as they are on them. (if you choose the helmet choice when adding BLD one shot to the dome unprotected will kill you)

Also ammo is plentiful but in all sorts of calibers, learning to reload yourself and and or try diff calibers you normally wouldn't cause you found a bunch of ammo is interesting. This may be frustrating for some, if so I think there is a mod to reduce the number of calibers in "new calibers" or instructions on how to eliminate ones you don't like. I just view it as a realism thing...the weird caliber ammo is what you'd be more likely to find after hundreds of years of fighting.

This isn't a playstyle for everyone. If you like it arcade like you will hate it, if your playing with a controller and not a mouse.....Good luck. If you are a gun nut in real life..it's the sex. Save often.

Oh And also Add Weapons of Fate
and this patch "Realistic Ballistics New Calibers (WOF and New Calibers Merge"
Forgot this is kinda key to the realistic ballistics.

I use this as an standalone rifle. its quite basic with little customisation but I still really like it. however I did make a slight change to the ammo capacity. IIRC I changed it from 35 to 45.

What do you mean you can't find any? Nexus is loaded with great gun mods. Just sort it to most popular descending under the weapons category.

Menu Mods have great gun mods too:
1911
M1-A1
Service Rifle (M-16)
.38 Microgun
Way Things Should Be (pushes up damage on weapon mods and more)
Those are mostly lore friendly without futuristic carp.

My personal favorite is BLGuns:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21794

It adds borderlands guns to fallout with tons of mods and they fit into the game pretty well. I went as far as replacing almost all pipe weapons with BLGuns and they work fantastically.
