Vault building tips or guide?
I can't find a guide on Steam. The cave in the atrium section of Vault 88 is big enoug for 4 stories, but the prefabs only have 2. All I have done in each playthrough of the Vault-Tech DLC is cover the floor with tiles, use wall floors to cover the cave walls, place the tall ending panels near the tunnels to the north and north-east passages, but I have no idea when to put the ceiling up. Any help would be appreciated, as sadly I have always been a noob at building... even with The Sims series.

Use concrete, of course. For everything, when you position it right it should click into place. Put down a pattern of adjoining floor sections. Then walls around the perrimeter. Finally floors/ roof sections to finish a story. The roof sections take more resources for some reason, but you may want to use them on top because they are opaque. Rinse and repeat.

As I posted in another thread, I am puzzled about the atriium floor pieces. Or the other atrium wall pieces. I can't find them in the build menu. So once I have used all the initilal pieces, I can't make any more.

Use stairs or elevators to connect floors.

What I am having difficulty understanding is how the power conduit works. The wires hanging around everywhere looks tacky. And there is a nuclear generator in the already-built part of the vault. I can't figure out how to connect it to anything.

You don't have to physically connect it to anything. Just use the power conduits (specifically, the one that snaps to the middle of a wall) and it'll automatically transmit power through it.

Oh, thanks. So it just makes the entire wall hot?
What about the wall sections adjacent to that wall section?
What about the floor and ceiling sections?

I was thinking that power goes from one wall to another, but I could be mistaken.

And how do you wire already-built portions of Vault 88?

Next question: to power a machine (such as the ones the original overseer had me build), you run one wire to the machine and another wire to the computer, right? Seems counter-intuative, because the computer isn't connectded to the machine. But OK.

And where did those options, which came up in that quest, go? Now that she is gone, I'd like to experiment with those some more.

Should be under Resources>Vault.

Putting in the Vault Wall Conduit lights up all of the floors, walls, ceilings nearby. Up to and including put it on a ground floor wall and it will power a light on the second floor wall.

The pre-build area where the Vault Door, generator and workbench are difficult to do anything with in regards to electricity. :(
