I get a similar problem, but only in the galactic zone so far. I drop down to 2-3 fps until i use a terminal or use the pip-boy.

Turn off Godrays, it was the performance killer for me

C:\Users\ windows account \Documents\My Games\Fallout4

open Fallout4Prefs.ini with windows notepad

bVolumetricLightingEnable=1

to

bVolumetricLightingEnable=0

I know that this thread is old but i got the seasonpass on the wintersale and started to play nuka world, after claiming the galactic zone and doing a few quests from mason the game became unplayable. fps went from a capped 120 down to 10-40 at all times not just in nuka world. the door to where mason has hes throne is "broken" according to my character and mason refuses to talk to me all he does is to star at me. the only way out of there is for me to teleport with console commands. wtf is this bethesda????
