There's a mod called 'Place Everywhere' that does that though, among other things.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424/?
not in workshop mode
and you press (NOT HOLD) Shift by default to change the rotation axis
ofc i had to learn this by accident
because nowhere ingame it says how to do it
typical bethesda...
yea when someone new jumps into the game or someone that dosent use steam forums
there is no way of knowing
there should be a sticky thread here or a guide that explains in depth every single "hidden" game feature like this one for example
+ a full tutorial about every single item in Fo4 workshop
like the logical gates thing
bug most likely
among other thousands of bugs this game has
some of which are not yet discovered
The item you want to move must only be highlighted, not selected.
And sorry I confused myself. The key to change rotation axis of loose objects is actually left shift, and no message pops up.
