Can't get past "Build the Vault 88 Overseer's Desk"

I've restarted a previous save multiple times, verified my game cashe multiple times AND used console to progress once (though it didn't wok out either) and I still can't get past the Pipboy saying "Build the Vault 88 Overseer's Desk.

Have you built the overseer's desk?
If so have you tried storing it, then placing it again?

I have this issue too. I've build the Overseer's desk from the special menu. Scrapped it and then built it again, yet the quest does not update for me. Help would be appreciated.

strange, i didnt have this issue, all vault-tec workshop did for me was ♥♥♥♥ up my workbench mode and make structures vanish

Have the overseer a free way to her chair? i build my chair on 2. stage and connected with a lift.
NPC´s don´t use elevators so i had to build stairs... ;)

I 1st built the Desk in the origonal section of the vault [ The Old Security room ] and it worked fine. I presume you are building it in the cave area.

I built it right there where she's sitting in the main area.

Just noticed, there are two overseers desks. one in special, one under tables. Make sure you are building the one under special.

I went a little nuts and started building a complex vault before getting my overseer bit done. Built a overseer room (right old faff took me ages to figure out the 'only doorways can link rooms' But build desk in the room i'd build and it proceeded along to next bit.. which im now stuck on :(

All new "stuff" that you need for the Quest wil be first in special.

it did for me, you don't happen to have mods do you? because that might interfere. maybe.

So, I buold the desk and the quest updated, but she just sits there and does nothing. When I talk to her she says: "I need to check if the pc has everything I need." Then she checks her pipboy and does nothing.
