Clem won't get on the Power Cycle. *SOLVED*
Okay, so I got to the part (vault tec workshop) where I have to "Push clem to the limit, the power must flow." Except, when I place down the power cycle plus the terminal, he walks towards it like he's going to sit on it (everyone else gets on it just fine, it's just this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that won't.) and just stands next to it, as if going like "DID I DUN IT GEWD? DURR" so... the one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ npc I need to use the power cycle, won't. So, I can't advance the questline normally. Anyone know how to fix? I've tried ordering him to go onto power cycles several times, he just won't.

PS ; If you're gonna comment JUST because I'm a furry, save yourself some trouble, and go chug some bleach. I'm looking for a fix to a problem, I'm not pushing anything down your throat. :FastFood:

Yaaaay, I always wanted to destroy all of my progress and restart...
Oh wait. No I ♥♥♥♥♥♥' didn't.
But I'll have to.
Because nothing works.

Did you choose the bike in the special tab? And not in the furniture tab..
Jynx Jul 26, 2016 @ 10:58am
I chose it in resources, because that's the only place it's in.

There's no special tab after the overseer's desk.

Aha!

The first 'quest' bike is under 'special' (far left, next to the robot workbench).

So, it must be something with my limited mods.

I'm happy to report that with a new character, and any mods related to building removed, the DLC has started working fine.

*PROBLEM SOLVED*
I found a workaround. I opened the console and got the code for the "power cycle 1000 Prototype" which is not the one from the resource menu.
1. open console
2. help "power cycle" 4
3. player.placeatme 05004bf9 1
4. move the new cycle to right it
5. build a second cycle from the resource menu to get the quest to progress.
6. Wire everything up generator>terminal>bike>bike
7. choose experiment parameters

once that was done Clem got on the bike I built and it still exploded, progressing the quest.

I had the same problem until I moved the console and generator out of the way. Once I did Clem walked up and eventual got on.

If you notice, Clem is standing near the Overseers hut. Place the cycle, power generator and terminal next to him. Cycle first, so he can get on and off the power then terminal. I had the same problem. He got on the cycle even before I hooked up power.

Now, we can turn our focus to a new problem:

Keeping Clem *off* the bike...

(yeah, I know it's an assignment, but I think his last name must be Armstrong and I wouldn't be shocked to hear him say he's heard of a place called France and he wants to bicycle all over it as fast as he can possibly pedal... and then take a hit of Jet)

Worked!!!

Same problem as you. I setup like in the screenshot and he wouldn't ride. Pistol whipped him and then he hopped on!

I had the same problem yesterday, but didn't do any of the exotic solutions others posting in this thread have done. As I recall, it's a simple matter of making sure the terminal, as well as he Power Cycle, has power. A small generator will take care of that.

THE ANSWER IS SO SIMPLE IT'LL MAKE YOU ♥♥♥♥ BRICKS!

You know how you can move items around in your settlements? DO IT WITH THE BIKE!
Moving it around enough should cause the trigger to fire in the a.i. and it'll walk to the bike and initiate contact. Might be a bit glitchy, he stood on the bike before figuring out how to ride it... BUT HEY IT WORKS!
