Steam account & bethesda.net account linking problem
I followed the instructions on the website regarding how to link your steam account with your bethesda.net account. Yet it refuses to log me in, even worse it tells me that either my password or name is wrong. I can just fine login on the website and the bethesda launcher without any problems. So this must be a Fallout 4 issue. How can I solve this problem or is that login system borked?:steamsad:

I can not upload my mods like this, yes i know the nexus (6 years). But i want to upload it first for Console before some one decides to steal my work. Console mods, worse choice ever!:steamfacepalm:

I haven't linked mine yet, but have you tried your profile panel where you'd edit your avatar and email at Bathesda.net yet?

I know when I linked the steam and rockstar social club it was done at rockstar site throw my profile

I tried that, but no mention of account linking there either. Would be a hell lot easier to start with, but unfortuantely... nope, nothing there :(

I found this at google.ca

How do I link my Steam account to my Bethesda.net account?

To link your Steam account to your Bethesda.net, open Fallout 4 and select Mods from the main menu. From there, you will be prompted to log into your Bethesda.net account. Once complete, your Bethesda.net account will be linked to your Steam account and you will be able to add and remove mods from your in-game mod library.

Tried that indeed, but it refuses to do just that. Can't login that way, which is the problem ;) But thanks for trying hard to help me solve this problem ;)

whats going on with bethesda, on bethesda i tryed linking steam acc so i can get steam version for free of fallouit 76 but its always fails. i get error. so i wrote to support 2 times and they say:

appears when you are trying to link a Bethesda.net Account to an account that already has a Bethesda.net Account associated with it. and that i should unlink it but there Is no UNLINK OPTION on website . : ( someone can help how to fix it?

I've got seperate accounts for Steam and Bethesda.net . I could be wrong here , but I've always assumed they are seperate accounts .

You may have an old bethesda.net account linked to it.

It can also be a big issue with Steam's backend. Right now I can't browse the store too well without being given the prompt to log back in again.

They can be linked. Bethesda, and many other companies do it. Especially mmorpgs for linking purchases from steam to an account

You could try logging into Bethesda.net clicking on your account and selecting "Linked Accounts" and seeing what's in there.

I think I read about other people having issues right now.

It would be just like Bethesda to tell everyone to link their accounts to get a free copy of the game, then break the account linking process and then deny everyone a copy.

Looks like lots of people are having this issue: https://bethesda.net/community/category/200/bethesda-net-feedback?language%5B%5D=en

The copy aint free just because you link accounts.

You had to have a copy of the game registered on Bethesda.net.

Yeah people forget a ton of folks are under lock down.. so both sites are getting hard, and steam's having issues again with workshop disconnections, shop losing login status, etc. Same issues happening with many sites and services due to the massive overload of people bored at home

When the topic was originally posted there was no virus or Fallout 76.....
