Sad & Glad that I am not the only one to Knowtice this , and yes I am in Windowed/Borderless. Although this occurs [Locks] when I click on Play. The pointer jumps to the center of the Steam window [which puts itself ontop of the game window] It only occurse when I have left Steam on the screen.
Here is a side note for those of you that give a pooh: Even when you Close Steam it stays running in the background only a task bar Icon [hidden] remains. I can Close Steam compleatly useing that Icon [or the End Process in task manager].
It baffles me how old this game is and yet the devs just don't care to fix these issues why should I ever buy any other title from bethesda if they can not fix something that has been out this long? So glad I didn't get FO76 or the new space game they released. Bet those will have bugs forever like skyrim.
Do you run dual monitors? Don't move your freakin mouse and don't alt tab while the game is loading... It's that simple. Wait for the process to FINISH.
My old computer was windows 7 upgraded to 10, My new one is Win 11 pro. I play tottal war warhammer 3, civ 6, Cyberpunk 2077. All on this computer without the mouse locking after hitting play on their launchers. Once again It is not my PC it is their program messing up.
Your upgrades matter not, if you're attempting to move the mouse while it is trying to load.
The game predates 2 of the 3 OS's you've got there...
Windows 7 2009
Windows 10 2015 July
Fallout 4 Nov 2015
When the screen goes dark and it tries to load.
Let. It. Load.
It is *genuinely* that simple. Alttabbing in this game is a crapshoot of breaking or fixing things based on who even knows what variables.
Also "windows 10 july of 2015"
The game wasn't developed in 4 months, it was developed over the course of YEARS before that point. meaning: it was developed ON windows 7. Did you think they made a magic wand and somehow crammed years worth of dev time into those few months between an official release of an entirely new OS, and their game dropping?
